Former President Donald J. Trump arrived in New York City on Memorial Day weekend and was greeted with loud cheers from supporters.
The 45th president raised his fist in solidarity with his supporters, who are supporting him as he has faced legal trouble in the city where he once resided.
Donald Trump is reportedly moving his headquarters from Mar-a-Lago to Bedminster, New Jersey, as the 2024 presidential campaign season begins to heat up.
Former President Donald Trump used his Truth Social platform to deliver an impassioned, but controversial, message about Memorial Day.
In his riveting, all-caps rant on Monday morning, the 76-year-old former president pleaded with Americans to fight back against “terrorists, misfits and crazy thugs” who he said were trying to destroy the nation.
“BUT ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO GAVE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR THE COUNTRY THEY LOVE, AND THOSE WHO LIGHT A VERY DIFFERENT, BUT EQUALLY DANGEROUS FIRE, WHICH FIRE THE THREAT OF TERRORISTS, DISCONFORMERS AND LUNATIC MADNESSES ON ALL FIELDS. AND DESTROY OUR GREAT COUNTRY, WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN IN GREATER DANGER THAN IT IS NOW,” he wrote in capital letters.
“WE MUST STOP THE COMMUNIST, MARXIST AND FASCIST “PIGS” AT EVERY TURN AND MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he declared
In a remote appearance in a New York City courtroom on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump received a stern warning from Judge Juan Merchen about sharing evidence related to his 34-count criminal indictment. The trial date was set for March 25, 2024, coinciding with the presidential primaries of the Republican Party. During the hearing, Judge Merchen warned Trump not to disclose any evidence received by his legal team during the discovery process.
From his residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, Trump appeared in a video wearing a navy suit and arms crossed. He spoke briefly only to confirm receipt of the protection order and replied, “Yes, I do.”
Judge Merchen’s order explicitly prohibits Trump from publicly disclosing information on various social media platforms, including but not limited to Truth Social, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat or YouTube, without prior court approval.
The order prevents Trump from sharing any documents or evidence provided by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to his lawyers, unless those materials are already public. Trump’s legal team expressed opposition to the protective order in a May 1 filing, arguing that it would impose an unprecedented and overly broad restriction on a leading presidential candidate.
