The Supreme Court usually makes important decisions about elections, with one of them in 2000, in Bush vs. Gore. It’s unclear how the Supreme Court could help Trump now.

In a separate post, Trump wrote: “Biden & Garland are filing false cases against me, making it hard for me to campaign. Nothing like this has happened before.” He asked, “Should it be unconstitutional?” The former president kept spirits high by adding: “BUT SOMEHOW, WE WILL WIN IT ALL!!!”
The former president wants to move the DC case
Trump called Washington DC “anti-Trump” and argued that the case should be moved to “an unbiased place, like the nearby politically unbiased state of West Virginia!”
Virginia is not a random choice
Trump won Virginia by 30 points in 2020. He also said it would be “IMPOSSIBLE” to get a fair trial in DC just hours before appearing in the courtroom near Capitol Hill. The former president pleaded not guilty to all four counts of the indictment.
Trump’s lawyer confirmed that he wants to move the case
“We’re looking for a more diverse area that has a more balanced pool of political jurors,” John Lauro told NPR, adding, “And West Virginia was a more divided state” than DC.

Lauro also told NBC: “What President Trump had was an actual opinion of counsel that his request to Vice President Pence was completely lawful and completely constitutional.”
Trump’s lawyer mentioned Eastman
Trump’s defense attorney then fired attorney John Eastman, saying, “You had one of the top constitutional scholars in the US, John Eastman, tell President Trump, ‘This is a protocol you can follow, it’s legal,” explained Lauro. , “This eliminates criminal intent.”
Eastman’s attorney issued a statement
Eastman’s legal team issued a statement saying that Jack Smith’s latest indictment “is based on a misleading presentation of the record to raise criminal charges against presidential candidate Trump and to hurl ominous slander against his advisers nearby”.
The lawyer confirmed
Eastman’s attorney also confirmed that his client was named in the indictment against Trump as “co-conspirator 2,” saying, “If Dr. Eastman is indicted, he will go to trial. If convicted, will appeal.”
