Trump opens the door for the former rival to join him in the election campaign

Former President Donald Trump may not be taking his former opponent's advice on how to run his campaign, but that's not stopping him from extending an olive branch.

While Vice President Kamala Harris shuns the press, the former president has stepped forward to show a contrast between the two campaigns' transparency. During a press conference in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump answered questions from the press that led to a shocking offer to Nikki Haley.

“Nikki Haley told our Bret Baier that Republicans need to stop whining about Kamala Harris, focus on courting independents, suburban women, moderates out there. What do you think of this strategy and would you consider have Nikki Haley on the campaign trail with you?” asked the reporter.

“Sure. I think we did very well. I think we are hitting a nerve. I think this is a different career. All we have to do is define our opponent as a communist or a socialist or someone who is going to destroy our country,” Trump said, defending his strategy. “You know, I fought Nikki really hard. I beat her in her own state with legendary numbers. And I get along with her. I appreciate her having my back and all that.”

“No, I think, in relation to what they're doing and how radical they are and how sick, in many ways, I think I'm running a very quiet campaign. We're here, there's no shouting. You're going to say he rambled and he raved, but some of you will say he rambled on and on. I can be a very quiet person, believe it or not, I probably wouldn't be there anymore, you know , there probably wouldn't be,” he continued. “I appreciate her advice. I have to do it my way. You know, I ran against her and I did it my way. People said maybe I should do it another way. But I win in south carolina no one was even close i would love to have her support go and campaign.”
