Former President Trump has announced his decision to continue holding large outdoor rallies despite the recent assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump assured the public that the Secret Service has agreed to improve its operations.

The announcement comes after the Secret Service urged Trump to forego outdoor rallies because of security risks following the July 13 incident.

The assailant, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot and killed by a Secret Service sniper.

The Secret Service has faced scrutiny for security lapses, leading to the resignation of agency director Kimberly Cheatle.
