Trump hung up Kim Kardashian asking for clemency for a prisoner because he assumed she was voting for Biden, according to new book

donald trump seems to have hung up Kim Kardashian when she called him after he left white house asking her to support her attempts to obtain more leniency for those she believes were unjustly imprisoned.

A new book hitting shelves Tuesday details the call in which Trump told the powerful socialite “hell no” because he assumed she voted for him. Joe Biden in 2020.

Kardashian met with Trump in the Oval Office in 2018, where he asked for a pardon for Alice Johnson, a woman serving life in prison on drug charges.

Johnathan Karl of ABC News writes in his upcoming book Tired of Winning that Trump wanted Kardashian to use her influence to get more soccer stars to visit the White House, which she apparently failed to attract.

“A source familiar with the talks tells me that Trump listened to their requests [for clemency] and demanded a direct quid pro quo,” Karl writes, according to excerpts from the book obtained by Axios.

“He would grant the commutations, he told Kardashian, if she used her celebrity connections to get football stars who were friends of hers to come visit him at the White House.”

“Kardashian tried to do what Trump demanded, seeing it as a small price to pay to get justice for people she believed were serving unjust sentences. But every player she approached refused.” write “Trump had become too toxic.”

“In the last two weeks of his presidency, nobody wanted to be around him.”

Trump, however, commuted Alice Johnson’s sentence in 2018 after she had served more than 20 years in prison following a life sentence for a first-time drug offense. The then-president later granted and signed a full pardon for the Tennessee woman in August 2020.

A few months after Trump left office in 2021, Kardashian called the former president to ask for his support in another case she accepted to grant clemency to a prisoner, even though Biden was now president.

This time, Trump was less welcoming of the famous media personality.

Kardashian, arriving at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago team, was expecting a high-profile endorsement of a clemency petition.

“She promptly received a call from Trump,” Karl writes.

‘Col, no, the ex-president told him. He wouldn’t do it. “You voted for Biden and now you’re coming to ask me for a favor?” Trump told him,” he adds in the new book.

While Kardashian has never publicly said who she voted for in 2020, she did post a tweet with a picture of Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris with three blue heart emojis.

“After a few more choice words, the line was dead. Trump had hung up,” Karl wrote of the brief interaction.

Trump granted clemency to Alice Johnson in 2018, and later a full pardon in 2020 (pictured), after Kardashian championed the effort to commute the life sentence to a first-time drug offense after turning 20 years.

A Trump spokesman responded to the book’s contents obtained by Axios with, “John Carl, disgraceful and talentless. [sic] he’s a later banker who could never get his own show for obvious reasons. The previously published excerpts from this ‘book’ have already been thoroughly debunked.’

“This filth belongs in the discount bin in the fiction section of the bookstore or should be reused as toilet paper,” they added.
