Former President Donald Trump called attention to the “Bonch of BS” in an offensive report claiming he held a “snaky” CEO meeting.
New York Times columnist and CNBC anchor Andrew Ross Sorkin did not attend a business roundtable that Trump hosted last week. But he cited the accounts of several CEOs who did attend as he told “Squawk Box” viewers that the presumptive Republican nominee “couldn't think straight.”
“I will say I was surprised,” Sorkin said.
“I spoke to a number of CEOs who I would say came into the meeting being Trump supporters, or thinking they might be tipping that direction, who said it was very meandering, they couldn't keep a straight mind, it was all over . the map, and that they, which is perhaps not surprising, but I was interested because they were people who, I think, might have been really predisposed to it and who actually came out of the room less predisposed to it, actually predisposed to it. to think. “That's not necessarily,” as one person put it, “may not be any different or better than a Biden thought, if you're thinking that way,” he added.

Trump came out days later at Truth Social, citing an article from The Daily Signal in which an attendee at the event called claims by Sorkin and others “BS” and a “sham.”
After the CNBC segment, the liberal media picked up the tone and he ran with the narrative as did the Biden campaign's official X account and White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates, who published a link to an article about Sorkin's remarks. Also an article on MSNBC claimed CEOs left Trump's meeting with “concerns about his cognitive state.”
“It's a clear bunch of BS,” one attendee replied, seconds in The Daily Signal. “This is a sham all around.”
“There was never a moment of meandering,” the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity “to speak candidly about the private meeting,” told the outlet.
“He was focused. In fact, he got a standing ovation at the end,” the aide added. “There wasn't a CEO who wasn't impressed with what he heard from Trump. Everyone applauded.”
In an astonishing display of prejudice and double standards, Sorkin was not called out for citing “a few CEOs” without naming one, but The Daily Signal citing an attendee who remained anonymous was criticized for comments. to be from “Trump and his staff.”
