Authorities released footage of the man suspected of breaking into a Trump campaign office, but say the burglary is a “rare” occurrence.
An adult man wearing dark clothing and a dark cap carrying a backpack is seen in surveillance video provided by officials after the Trump 2024 presidential campaign office in Ashburn, VA was broken into on 11 august
Although authorities were alerted to the break-in around 9 p.m., the suspect had already fled by the time law enforcement arrived at the scene.

“It is rare for the office of any political campaign or party to overlap,” Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a news release. “We are determined to identify the suspect, investigate what happened and determine what may have been taken and what may have been left.”
The sheriff's office post has been viewed more than 150,000 times, but comments have been restricted to X.
Virginia's 10th District Republican Committee is also based in the office leased by the Trump campaign, which is about 30 miles west of downtown Washington.
UPDATE: Sources close to the investigation tell me the Loudon County Sheriff's Office is looking into whether the suspect is a hobby thief or a political operative who was looking for information on the Trump campaign. https://t.co/Z6DWIjjkdb pic.twitter.com/vCY1Fvh1rZ

The incident unfolded just days after the Trump campaign revealed it was hacked and documents were released, prompting the FBI to launch an investigation. politician reported that he had received emails from an “anonymous account with documents from the Trump operation.”
The Trump campaign blamed “foreign sources hostile to the United States” and referred to a report last week that claimed Iranian hackers “sent a spear-phishing email in June to a senior official of a presidential campaign”.
In May, hazmat teams arrived at the Virginia office after two vials of blood addressed to Trump were discovered.
Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, spoke of the “massive effort” of the deep state to keep the former president outside the White House.
“I think it's pretty obvious at this point, there's a lot of people and there's a massive effort, of course, to keep Donald Trump out of the White House. These people are terrified. This is the deep state. This is the swamp of Washington, DC,” Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee, told Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Meanwhile, social media users reacted to the news of the “rare” event of the assault at Trump's campaign office.

It's strange how they don't bother to hide their faces, as if they are not worried about the consequences.

Imagine if the parts were reversed. But since it's Trump who's campaign is being hacked, it's not even reported.

Remember when the Washington Post was concerned about the breakdowns of a political party and even made a movie about their tenacity and bravery? All the so-called journalists who claim to have been inspired by All the President's Men have no stake in this story. Because…

Ouch for crying out loud. The FBI has a database of facial profiles for probably 90% of the population thanks to DHS and social media. It would take them about 30 minutes to find this guy if they wanted to.
