Trump calls on Alabama lawmakers to 'preserve' IVF after Supreme Court ruling

Former President Donald Trump asked Alabama lawmakers on Friday to implement protections for certain fertility options after the state Supreme Court ruled Sunday that embryos are “children.”

The Supreme Court of Alabama determined that several destroyed embryos created through in vitro fertilization (IVF), a procedure that fertilizes eggs and implants them in women with fertility problems, should be considered human life, resulting in several IVF. clinics closing due to concern over possible legal complications.
