Trump blasts ABC reporter after Kamala 'didn't have the guts to come forward' [VIDEO]

At the recent National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago, ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott confronted former President Donald Trump about his allegedly controversial story about race and ethnicity.

Scott opened the session by highlighting a series of controversial statements and actions by Trump.

“I want to start by addressing the elephant in the room, sir, many people did not think it was appropriate for you to be here today. You have pushed false claims about some of your rivals, from Nikki Haley to former President Barack Obama , saying they were not born in the United States, which is not true. You have told four congressmen of color that they were American citizens to go back to where they came from. You have used words like animal and rabbit to describe black prosecutors .You attacked black reporters, calling them losers, saying the questions they ask are, quote, stupid, and racist. You had dinner with a white supremacist at your Mar-a-Lago resort. So my question, sir asking black supporters to vote for you, why should black voters trust you after you used that language?” Scott asked.

Trump defended his record and took aim at Scott's questioning. “Well, first of all, I don't think I've ever been asked a question in such a horrible way, first question, you don't even say hello. How are you? You're with ABC because I think they're a fake news network, a terrible network, and I think it's a shame that I came here in good faith. I love the black population of this country. I've done a lot for the black population of this country, including employment, including opportunity zones, with Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, which is one of the best programs for black workers and black employers. I've done a lot of things and, you know, and I say this, historically black colleges and universities didn't have money. They were broke like stone, I bailed them out and gave them long-term financing, and no one else was doing that. I think that's a very rude introduction. I don't know exactly why you would do such a thing. And let me go one step further. I was invited here and told my opponent, whether it was Biden or Kamala. I was told my opponent would be here. It turned out that my opponent is not here. You invited me under false pretenses and then said you can't do it with Zoom. Well, do you know where Zoom is? He will do it with Zoom and not come. And then you were half an hour late, because we get it, I have too much respect for you to be late. They couldn't get their equipment to work, or something went wrong. I think this is a very unpleasant question. I have been the best president for the black people since Abraham Lincoln. That's my answer.”

Scott continued to challenge Trump, asking him, “Better than President Johnson, who signed the Voting Rights Act?”

Trump responded: “Why do you start a question and answer period, especially when you're 35 minutes late because you can't make your team work in such a hostile manner. I think it's a disgrace.”

Axios reporter Sophia Cai tried to paint Donald Trump in a bad light after she left the event, but Brenden Dilley bluntly called her out.

GOP Chairman Michael Whatley had this to say:
