Trump attacks Kamala Harris, accuses her of being afraid of the debate

Former President Donald Trump recently launched a series of attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris, including deliberately misspelling her name and accusations that she was afraid to engage in a debate with him. This comes shortly after Trump himself pulled out of a presidential debate scheduled for September.

Trump's criticism of Harris spanned a range of issues, from accusing her of wanting to defund the police and ban fossil fuels to blaming her for an economic “depression.” He also blamed Monday's global market crash on the Biden-Harris administration, dubbing it the “Kamala Crash.”

Just last week, Trump announced that he would not participate in the agreed-upon presidential debate against Harris and instead suggested moving it to a network more favorable to him. He stated that he had initially agreed to face Biden in the September 10 debate, but no longer felt compelled to do so after Biden withdrew from the race. Trump also cited a pending defamation lawsuit against the network as another reason for his withdrawal.

In response, the Harris campaign accused Trump of “running scared” and seeking refuge with a network likely to support him. Despite Trump's refusal to participate, the Harris campaign confirmed that the vice president still plans to attend the Sept. 10 debate, viewing it as an opportunity to address a national prime-time audience.
