Is there trouble in the legal haven? It sure seems that way. The grand plan to put President Trump behind bars appears to be unraveling, sparking a major internal conflict within the regime's “injustice” department. Jack Smith, the controversial and unconstitutional “prosecutor” in President Trump's sham voter fraud case, announced Thursday that he will have until Aug. 30 to state his case against Trump, following the July 1 sentencing of the Supreme Court on presidential immunity, a clear victory for Trump. .
Embarrassed Obama-appointed Judge Tanya Chutkan has asked both sides to weigh in on how the case should proceed after the Supreme Court handed her a victory on presidential immunity, making the prosecution's goal of triggering the law against Trump is much more difficult.
Now Smith, who many believe was never even legally appointed to his position, is being forced to back down and fire his dogs. This isn't what they planned, so is that why an assassin was brought in as a “plan B”?
The recent delay is exposing some very ugly internal conflicts within the ranks of the regime. This is what happens when the best laid plans start to fall apart.
Trouble in legal paradise? It sure looks that way.
MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday that the delay may point to tension between Smith and the Justice Department over how to proceed with the case.
“Trump and Jack Smith were supposed to tell Tanya Chutkan tomorrow how the DC election interference case should move forward. Instead, Smith told her tonight that he needs until the end of the month to propose next steps.”
“Unsurprisingly, the Kings of Delay, Stall & Ignore (aka Team Trump) were happy to accede to this request,” Rubin wrote.
“What's less clear, though, is why Smith and co. need more time to 'consult'. It's less about the consultation and instead about revealing internal disputes about the best way, or any way , to advance?” she asked.
Former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance wrote that Smith's office is bound by federal laws that require it to consult with the Justice Department on key decisions.
“Getting it right is more important than going fast.”
Interesting, because not too long ago, “going fast” was the only course of action for Jack Smith and his pit bulls. The Newsweek piece continues:
“This is exactly why the special counsel must consult with other constituents, although it's certainly a requirement the office bristles at,” Vance wrote on his legal blog, Civil Discourse, on Friday.
“I didn't like it any better when, as a serving United States Attorney, I had to check with various offices of the Chief Justice before proceeding with certain types of matters. For one thing, I was always sure that we had taken the correct decision within our office. On the other hand, I did not like the delay,” he wrote.
“But one thing I learned in the process was that you could go fast alone or far together. The opportunity to have some of the smartest lawyers in the country rejecting decisions, making counterarguments and testing conclusions means that the lawyer special will come out the other side with much stronger decisions,” Vance added.
He said the inquiry means Trump's trial will definitely not begin before the 2024 presidential election.
And that last part is a massive blow to the regime, which genuinely believed it had President Trump on the ropes with his bogus trials and lawless “injustice.” Imagine what Trump haters and the law's architects like Andrew Weissman must be like right now.
This fat guy with the weird hair on MSNBC just suggested that Biden might order a preemptive military strike on Mar-a-Lago

We all know how devastated he was when the Supreme Court turned his plans into dust.
Has anyone checked with Andrew Weissman, one of the law coordinators? They used their ENRON law against J6ers and the Supreme Court has struck it down again, no thanks to Judge Barrett's total disaster. pic.twitter.com/0iut10Z7kP

All this effort to interfere in another American election and weaponize the justice system, for nothing. Although they did manage to make an absolute mockery of the justice system, attack innocent Trump supporters and turn us into a banana republic. So for the regime, this part was a big win.
