Medhi Narjissi, a promising French under-18 rugby player, is tragically missing after being washed away by a wave off the coast of Cape Town. The events happened on Wednesday during a recovery session with his teammates. Despite immediate search efforts involving two maritime rescue vessels and a helicopter, the 17-year-old Toulouse signee remains missing.
The search extended into Thursday, with the National Maritime Rescue Institute suggesting that strong rip currents may have swept Narjissi out to sea.
