Top climate expert blows the whistle and admits the ‘crisis’ is a hoax

-

One of the world’s best-loved climate scientists has debunked the Green Agenda’s claim that the planet is facing a “crisis” due to “global warming”.

Judith Curry, Ph.D., is a climatologist who has published more than 140 scientific publications and articles.

Curry, a former professor at the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology, has acknowledged spreading false “climate change” propaganda. Curry recently admitted that he made up his studies concluding that “climate change” is causing more frequent and severe hurricanes around the world.

Curry has been one of the most prominent voices warning for years that the planet is facing an “emergency” due to alleged “man-made climate change.” His work has been frequently cited by advocates of climate alarmism.

Curry stated that after publishing a study that appeared to demonstrate a dramatic increase in hurricane intensity, she became the darling of the liberal corporate media.

“We found that the percentage of category 4 and 5 hurricanes had doubled,” says Curry.

Around the time of Hurricane Katrina, the study was released. The “more intense” hurricanes reported in his research quickly provided ammunition to the alarmists.

“This was picked up by the media,” and then the climate alarmists said to themselves, “Oh, this is the way to do it,” he said. “Link extreme weather events to global warming!”

Curry admits he enjoyed the journey of the green agenda after his work was linked to “climate change” and received global recognition.

“I was adopted by environmental groups and alarmists and treated like a rock star,” Curry explains. “Flyed all over to meet politicians.”

However, other researchers pointed out gaps in their research by emphasizing years with minimal hurricane activity.

“Like a good scientist, I did some research,” says Curry. “It was partly bad data,” he confessed. “Part of that is natural climate variability.”

Curry says his decision to speak out was prompted by the exposure of his own work. She realized from personal experience that the “climate change industry” is designed to reward alarmism.

“The origins go back to the . . . UN Environment Programme,” he said.

Some UN officials were motivated by “anti-capitalism,” he said. “They hated the oil companies and seized the issue of climate change to push their policies.”

The UN created the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 1988.

“The IPCC was not supposed to focus on any benefits of warming,” Curry explains. “The mandate of the IPCC was to look for dangerous human-caused climate change. Then the national funding agencies directed all the funding . . . assuming there are dangerous impacts.”

The researchers soon realized that in order to get funding, they had to make alarmist claims about “man-made climate change”.

This is how climate change alarmists are able to achieve a “fabricated consensus”.
