“Too close to the target”? Leftist Mega Donor Halts Support for Nikki Haley

Billionaire Reid Hoffman has turned off a money spree for Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley after she lost the New Hampshire primary, which will also shift the focus away from her dealings with the left.

The LinkedIn co-founder and venture capitalist is exiting stage left after apparently determining that Haley has little chance of becoming the nominee according to an anonymous source who spoke to CNBC. He is one of the first to bail despite the underdog saying he will stay in the race after losing both Iowa and New Hampshire.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy have dropped out of the race and thrown their support behind former President Trump. Ramaswamy posted on X that Hoffman dump Haley has more to do he's a rabid anti-Trump leftist who has gotten more public attention than his loss in New Hampshire.

“A Republican fundraiser told CNBC on Wednesday that three clients who helped Haley raise up to $100,000 for her campaign are now opting for more financial efforts for the former U.N. ambassador.” report CNBC.

“Other fundraisers said as much Wednesday as they plan to speak publicly in support of Haleyare not convinced they can raise much money for their campaign due to their 0-for-2 record so far,” the outlet added.

Hoffman is undeniably a leftist who has been lining the pockets of Democrats for years. He gave $250,000 to a pro-Haley super PAC in 2023, according to the News from New York in a sign that Democrats were going to back Haley and try to unseat Trump. That move failed miserably.

“Hoffman said in December that while he is a supporter of President Joe Biden, he believed Haley had the best chance to beat Trump in the Republican primary,” CNBC noted.

Reid Hoffman will still get his money from Nikki Haley through other nefarious means.

Hoffman got the idea to endorse Haley from JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, who had urged business leaders to support her.

Trump is far, far ahead of Haley in his home state of South Carolina. A RealClearPolitics The average of the polls shows that he is beating him by more than 30 points.
