Todd Bensman who serves as a senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies joins Steve Bannon’s WarRoom to discuss the Texas vs. federal government battle over border security measures. Texas Governor Greg Abbott wants to shut the southern border down by using razor wire, over 29 miles worth in one particular section, and the Biden administration wants open borders allowing everyone across. The administration is trying to cut the wire allowing illegal border crossings. The state of Texas has reacted by seizing what they consider to be state land. This is the central issue of litigation that goes all the way up the the Supreme Court which temporarily ruled that Texas cannot block federal agents from cutting the wire.
Bensman describes the horrors of open border policy reporting that the latest data shows over 85,000 children who have entered the country illegally are unaccounted for. Human trafficking and child sex trafficking are major issues facilitated by the current border policies. Border Patrol estimates that nearly half of the children coming across are accompanied by adults that are of no relation to them and the verification process to ensure child safety is not taking place due to the massive influx of migrants overrunning the system.
