I just saw about 45 minutes of footage on October 7th at a private screening in New York. Here are my immediate thoughts minutes after watching it. 
The video is a compilation of mostly Hamas GoPro cameras/mobile phones carried by hundreds of terrorists, but also includes Israeli CCTV, dash cams, traffic cameras, first responder cell videos to gather before, during and after unique events of the massacre.
The video begins with Hamas terrorists riding in the back of trucks armed with AK-47s, RPGs and a few heavy machine guns, through a cut in the border wall. All the terrorists were screaming with joy, shouting over and over “Allahu Akbar!” More trucks and motorcycles in Israel behind them.
The first scene is on a road in southern Israel from a dashcam of a vehicle, more than 10 terrorists spread out, shoot down cars, bullets go through the glass, then to Hamas GoPro taping the car, s they approach and shoot the man and the woman in the car. a short distance to make sure they were dead.
Next to a CCTV of the kibbutz's front door, a Hamas terrorist approaches the door hoping to sneak in, but it's closed, they walk away from the camera. A civilian car approaches the door which begins to open. Terrorists shoot their windows at close range, make sure they are all dead and enter the kibbutz.
A CCTV image from home in the kibbutz, a father in his underwear (appears to have just woken up) frantically carrying his two sons, running, boys also in their underwear (both appear to be between 8 and 12 years old like my son ). Another camera shows them leaving the house and entering a shelter in the backyard.
Seconds later, a Hamas man walks up to the shelter the father and sons entered, looks inside, and then throws a grenade into it. The father falls dead from the shelter, clearly having tried to get between his children and the terrorist.
The children are taken out of the shelter over the body of their father killed by a terrorist. They take them back to the house, put them on the sofa in the house. Now their cries of pain are clearly heard, the blood from the wounds covering them, the children talking to each other “Father is dead”
The older brother tries to comfort the younger one, now covered in blood. “Can you see with your eyes? No? Not quite?” “No, I don't see anything.” The terrorist next to him goes through his fridge collecting water and coke to drink.
CCTV images in a kindergarten. A lone teacher hiding in a room, trying to use children's nap pads to hide. Hamas terrorists come in, search rooms, look into his room and shoot him. The terrorist enters the room, makes sure she is dead, puts her on his shoulder and carries her away.
Scenes from the Nova music festival. Children dancing with Hamas paragliders in the distance. fires Then the teenagers run in the chaos. First in cars, then hundreds abandon their cars and run en masse into an open field as Hamas terrorists appear.
Hamas images of their vehicles arriving at the festival, of terrorists jumping into fire at teenagers running through the countryside. One of Hamas' heavy machine guns mounted on the back of a pickup truck opens fire.
Then Hamas enters the festival. Firing wildly at the door johns. Image of petrified Israeli teenagers hiding in those porta johns. Then videos of the bodies and the blood at the porta johns.
Dozens of Israeli teenagers hidden in a large container of black garbage bags. A few seconds later, a first responder video with only dead bodies in the dumpster.
The first arrivals at the festival, shouting when they reach a food tent/bar “I have 1 dead, 2..3,4,5 dead” “is there anyone alive?” “Please let me know if you're alive,” only to look over the bar counter to see dozens of civilian bodies lying on top of each other.
Rape and targeting of young women at the festival. 1st a video of a group of more than 5 scared, shaking teenage girls huddled together in a tent. The Hamas terrorist enters the tent. All the handcuffed girls came out of the tent now with all their faces covered in blood. Some put different vehicles
A girl from the original group, from the line, got out, separated and got into a jeep. Later, the same girl moved, her pants covered in blood from right around her anus to the front of her pants. More photos of dead teenage women lying on the festival grounds, pantsless, legs looking broken.
Beheadings One scene shows Hamas in a kibbutz shouting at a dead Israeli elderly man, stomping on his head and then asking for a nearby garden hoe. Hamas terror attacks on the old must try to decapitate him repeatedly.
Later scene, a Hamas terrorist grabs a knife and quickly cuts off the head of an IDF soldier, helmet still on, and walks away with the soldier's head sticking out of his body. Other photos of just heads in a field flattened by some kind of break.
Many scenes of burnt bodies. Bodies frozen in awkward positions in vehicles, on roads, in their homes and burned to ashen skeletons. It gave me memories of visiting the Dachau concentration camps and seeing the holocaust photos.
Through a military lens I saw trained Hamas fighters, leaders giving orders to kill systematically, conserving ammunition. “Shoot them only once in the head, save your ammo” orders. I heard their communication with the leaders of Gaza on radios. Also an untrained terrorist.
1 A Hamas terrorist used an Israeli woman's cell phone to call her parents: “Father where am I… I just killed 10 Jews, their blood is on my hands, thank God, tell him to the mother that your son is killing Jews.” The man (father) and woman (mother) he is talking to just shout and reply “kill, kill, kill”.
I have seen my share of evil first hand around the world in the Middle East/Ukraine/etc wars. I have seen atrocious cruelty/dehumanization/mutilations. I have looked evil men in the eye. But I have never seen so many evil men (hundreds, thousands) show such joy in committing their acts.
Now I understand why this video needs to be selectively shown. You can't watch it without being traumatized in some way. I will never forget the children. Photo after photo of dead children in their pajamas. Mickey Mouse, Stitch (my daughter loves it at the moment). covered in blood Death.
I hated having to watch the video. You can't help but see the evil on display. No one should want to see it, but the horrors of that day should never be forgotten. Never rationalized. The phrase in my head all the time “Never again” from the past, but I was seeing it again.
