“They can't give up this voting block”

Former “Today” anchor Katie Couric, a so-called “journalist,” warned this week that Democrats have lost the working class.

Appearing on the “Hysteria” podcast with former Obama White House deputy chief of staff Alyssa Mastromonaco, the leftist worried that Democrats have lost the working class and need to do more to win it back, according to reports the New York Post.

“I think there needs to be a greater connection between the working class and the Democratic Party because, let's face it … the Democrats have lost the working class a little bit,” he said. “It was never like this in all my years of political coverage.”

“You had the head of the Teamsters at the RNC, you had people buying into this idea that Republicans care about dinner table issues a lot more than Democrats. And those narratives, I think, have become too deeply ingrained about the college-educated liberal elites who are condescending,” he added.

He went on to call on Democrats to form a “much stronger connection” with the working class and, in particular, for presidential candidate Kamala Harris to heed his message to “regular guys.”

“They cannot give up this voting block…[they should say] “Hey, we care about you, we care about your problems, we know a lot of things have been really hard…but this is how we're going to help you,” he said. “I just want to see her [Kamala] with a welding hat on, working with regular Joes.”

Democrats could say all these things, but they would be lying. The facts make it clear that their policies under President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris have been absolutely devastating to the working class:

Now imagine how much worse off they would be under President Harris

Indeed, Justin Haskins, the director of The Heartland Institute's Socialism Research Center, warned in a recent Fox News column that if elected president, “the Harris administration would likely be the most socialist and destructive in our country's history.”

“Biden has been one of America's most progressive presidents, but Harris' past policy positions are even further to the left than those supported by Biden,” he explained. “In fact, if Harris were to become president, it's fair to say she would be the first democratic socialist candidate to hold office in the 248-year history of the United States.”

He pointed to his past support of the Green New Deal, Medicare-for-All as just two of many, many, many more examples.

“America simply cannot afford Harris' radical vision for the country,” he wrote. “And even if it could, putting the dysfunctional, inefficient, and corrupt federal government in charge of virtually every part of our lives, from health care to the types of cars we drive, should be avoided at all costs. we can drive.”

Meanwhile, critics have responded to Couric's remarks by arguing that Democrats don't care one bit about the working class.
