“In combat you can fight, you know your enemy and you have the training, skills and equipment to eliminate threats to yourself or your comrades who are your family.” After leaving military service and moving on with our lives, we are faced with an evolving world and situations we are not prepared to fight and survive.

This is the realization that many combat veterans deal with on a daily basis, even as we are under the stress of our past, a condition also known as post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. My guest this week is releasing his new book, The War Journal, in a few days and it’s his combat veteran story, the good, the bad and the ugly.
