Unwanted viral marketing got a woman a deal on a new car after highlighting the product’s amazing durability after a fire.
“…still has ice.”
Viewed more than 72 million times in the three days since it was originally posted, the TikTok video of a young woman with her long-lasting Stanley Cup won her fanfare and a responsive company response.
Taking to social media platform Danielle, under the username @danimarielettering, showed the damage after a fire tore through her Kia as she narrated: “Everyone is so worried about Stanley spilling over. But what what if it melts?”
He removed the glass from the cup holder and proceeded to shake it so the onlookers could see the contents inside, “Yesterday it was on fire and it still has ice.”

While Danielle racked up millions of views for the post captioned: ‘Thirsty after getting burnt? [Stanley] Not a problem, and gotchu…”, users reacted with sponsorship calls or a check from the brand, while some even suggested that the engineering be used to design fireproof cars.
Aware of the public’s response, Stanley president Terence Reilly took to TikTok to post his own reaction to it with the promise of more than just free merchandise.
“Hi Danielle! My name is Terence Reilly. I’m the president of Stanley. We’ve all seen your video. Wow, what an ordeal and we’re all so glad you’re safe,” he began. “Thanks for sharing the video because, wow, it really shows how Stanley, our Stanleys are built for life. What happened to you, I can’t think of a better example of the quality of our products.”
“But anyway, we’re glad you’re safe. I’ve seen a lot of comments that we should send you some Stanleys. Well, we’ll send you some Stanleys,” Reilly assured, “but there’s one more thing. We haven’t never done before and probably never will again, but we would like to replace your vehicle.”
“Yes, all of us at Stanley would love to replace your vehicle. So check your direct messages for more information, thanks, stay safe, cheers,” concluded the president of the company, earning nearly 28 million of views by itself.

Both videos were followed by a slew of users detailing their desire to buy a Stanley, as well as some humorous posts satirizing Danielle’s experience, such as one joking that the company might cover the cost of ‘a new house.

As part of a more than four-minute response to the company’s generosity, Danielle posted a follow-up, saying: “Wow…I saw the President’s video, Stanley’s President’s video… I almost passed out. This is crazy. I can’t believe they’re going to buy me a car. I mean, Stanley was the only one who survived the car fire.”
“I’ll keep it as a memory… I’m so grateful to Stanley for doing this and I feel blessed beyond belief,” she continued.
