The corporate propaganda press responded to billionaire Elon Musk interviewing former President Donald Trump by asking that his interview be censored.
Washington Post “reporter” Cleve Wootson issued the Orwellian call for censorship during a press conference Monday afternoon by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“Elon Musk is scheduled to interview Trump tonight on X,” Wootson said. “I don't know if the president will, feel free to say if he is or not, but I think misinformation on Twitter is not just a campaign problem. It's an America problem, you know.
“What is the role of the White House or the president in stopping this or stopping the spread of this or intervening in it? Part of it was about disinformation in the campaign, but you know it's a broader thing, right “, he added.

Basically, he asked the White House to censor the interview between Musk and Trump because it would be committing the apparent crime of expressing dissenting opinions that belies Democratic orthodoxy.
Jean-Pierre, for his part, enthusiastically followed the so-called fascist Orwellian investigation of the so-called “reporter”.
“Yeah, no, I mean, you've heard us talk about it many times over here about the responsibilities that social media platforms have when it comes to misinformation, disinformation,” he said. “I don't have anything to read from here on specific ways we're working on it, but we think they have a responsibility.”
“These are private companies, so we take that into account as well, but look, it's, I think it's incredibly important to say it like you're doing it. I just don't have any specifics on what we've been doing internally in terms of interviews, not something I'm tracking, and I'm sure the president isn't tracking either,” he added.
When Wootson's question to Jean-Pierre later went viral, so did the backlash against him for completely distorting what it means to be a journalist.

Members of America's corporate propaganda press aren't the only ones determined to censor the Musk/Trump interview.
European Commissioner Thierry Breton, a fascist, sent a letter to Musk this week demanding that he censor any so-called “disinformation” that emerged during Trump's interview.
“We are monitoring the potential risks in the EU associated with the dissemination of content that may incite violence, hatred and racism in conjunction with major political or social events around the world, including debates and interviews in the context of elections”. he wrote
“Therefore, I urge you to quickly ensure the effectiveness of your systems and inform my team of the measures taken,” he added.

In separate but related news, Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign responded to the Musk/Trump interview by talking trash.
“Donald Trump's extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature not a bug of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen tonight during whatever was on X .com,” the campaign said in a condescending elitist statement. .
“Trump's entire campaign is in the service of people like Elon Musk and himself — obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and can't do a live stream in 2024,” the campaign added.

The “unable to run a live stream” accusation was designed to mock Musk because his interview with Trump started about an hour late due to technical difficulties.
It was later learned that the technical difficulties were the result of a coordinated cyberattack by left-wing brownshirt thugs.
