With tensions rising between the Biden administration and the Lone Star State over border “encroachment,” Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) was pressed about the potential for a “war civilian”.
The smoke and mirrors attempt to continue allowing illegal entry of foreign nationals into the United States while blaming Republicans has been confused by Texas reasserting and maintaining state sovereignty rights. After President Joe Biden's deadline calling for the border state to withdraw from his razor wire initiative came and went, Patrick was asked how far Austin executives were willing to bring up the subject
“What will this turn into, a civil war?” “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo asked in the middle of an interview with Fox News. “I mean, you have Texas rights versus federal rights, both sides with guns.”
“And we believe that constitutionally we are right”, said the lieutenant governor. “We have the right to defend our citizens. We have a right to defend this country. And we're just doing the job. This whole idea of Shelby Park, that they would come there, is just ridiculous. These young men and women who serve our National Guard and our DPS, these are the best of the best.”

“Why would I do that? [Biden] Want to send someone down to deal with it? I'm glad they stepped down, but they have to do the job. And the only reason he's paying attention now is because of the November election,” Patrick railed.
The Texas official was speaking of the administration's lack of follow-through after Friday's deadline to allow the Department of Homeland Security access to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, passed without incident, and instead was satisfied with the demands of Texas Attorney General Ken. Paxton.
“By February 15, DHS must provide official plat maps and deeds showing the precise parcels they claim ownership of, an explanation of how Texas prevents access to those specific parcels, documentation showing that Eagle Pass or Texas ever granted permission for DHS to erect infrastructure that interferes with border security and proof that Congress authorizes DHS to turn a Texas park into an unofficial port of entry and illegal. If the federal government is going to make these claims, it needs to provide evidence,” the AG said.

During his discussion with Bartiromo, Patrick had spoken to the globalist extremes of the administration who were allegedly competing to turn millions of illegal aliens into a reliable new voting bloc. He also addressed the reality that came with the porous border that had seen the arrest of more than 13,000 smugglers, most of whom were US citizens working with the cartels.
“That's why, Maria, when I say it's an invasion, it's an invasion. It's an army of cartels,” said the lieutenant governor. “You know, the founders never dreamed that we'd have a president like this who would just open the door to everybody. And they said, well, invasion if an army came. Well, we're facing an army. We're facing an army, and they're well-armed, they're well-coordinated, they're making millions upon millions of dollars with Joe Biden.”
Around the same time as Tennessee Rep. Mark Green (R) had introduced the articles of impeachment to be filed against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his “willful and systemic refusal to enforce the law” regarding the border, Patrick went on to say, “Don't mess with Texas, we're serious about securing our border. And I'm glad the president stepped down on Friday and didn't confront us. That would be wrong. We don't want a confrontation and they shouldn't want a confrontation. We're just doing our job. We're doing our job “.
