The suspect pulls a revolver on the Cali cops and fatally discovers it was a bad idea [VIDEOS]

Pomona police have released a 911 call and body camera footage of a shooting in which a suspected gunman was killed by police on June 26.

The incident happened at approximately 11:57 pm after officers received a call about a man carrying a gun at a motel on Holt Avenue.

According to the Pomona Police Department, the suspect fled the scene and proceeded to draw his own firearm, prompting officers to open fire at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Center Street.

Investigators believe the suspect had fired directly at the officers, prompting them to return fire.

Footage from the scene shows numerous bullet holes in a vehicle and a broken driver's seat window.

The suspect was taken to the hospital immediately after the shooting, but succumbed to his injuries.

None of the officers involved in the incident were injured. Officers reportedly managed to recover a gun at the scene.

The incident is currently being investigated by local police.
