“Pawn Stars” star Rick Harrison has said his son, Adam Harrison, 39, died of a fentanyl overdose.
In addition, Harrison pointed to the historic crisis at the southern border where more than 8 million illegal immigrants have entered the country in three short years under President Biden, along with an unknown amount of drugs.
“Yes, I can confirm that Adam died of a fentanyl overdose,” Rick said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “The fentanyl crisis in this country needs to be taken more seriously. It just seems to be flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We have to do better.”
“He passed away from an overdose. The family is deeply saddened by his loss and asks for privacy while grieving,” a representative for Harrison told the network on Friday.
Harrison shared the following photo on Instagram, along with the caption: “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.”
Harrison had two children with ex-wife Kim, and both were involved in the family business: Corey Harrison appears on “Pawn Stars,” but Adam does not. Rick remarried and has a son Jake with his second wife, Tracy.
Not only are there record numbers of illegal immigrants under Biden, but so are overdoses.
“In 2023, drug overdose deaths will exceed 112,000 for the first time in the nation's history. With its staggering death toll, according to a December NPR report, America's drug crisis has eclipsed past epidemics, including the crack cocaine crisis of the 1980s and the prescription opioid epidemic,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
And while some on social media agreed with Rick about the border, others were quick to point out personal responsibility.
Here's a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen in X:

Although this is very sad. An addict will always find their fix. If you use this day, you are aware of the risks involved. You have to take some responsibility. I am sorry for the loss of the Harrison family

I am sorry for the loss of Mr. Harrison. That being said, when will people realize that continued unchecked abuse of drugs and alcohol never has a good outcome? The blame falls squarely in the lap of his son Adam. I agree that the border crisis is a problem on many different levels,…
