EXCLUSIVE – Little-known Christian country singer Natasha Owens burst onto the scene earlier this week with news that her single “Trump Won and You Know It” topped Taylor Swift on the Billboard charts.
In an exclusive interview, Owens told the Washington Examiner that he wants his music to be a light in the darkness and to give people courage.

Similar songs claiming that former President Donald Trump won the 2020 election have been banned from platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, labeled as disinformation. Owens’ song is on YouTube, where it has racked up more than 820,000 views in three weeks.
Owens believes censorship in social media and Big Tech is a real problem in America today.
“It’s hard for conservative voices to avoid this massive technological censorship,” Owens said. “We feel that we are not free. We live in a country where freedom is trying to be taken away from us. It is the most expensive thing we have. It should be the last thing we give up.”
The music video uses actual news clips that highlight alleged irregularities during the election, including allegations of ballot-stuffing, problems with voting machines and people who died at the polls.
Trump has repeatedly claimed the election was stolen, although all lawsuits his legal team has filed on the matter have been dismissed. His campaign has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars investigating voting irregularities to no avail. He also faces a grand jury investigation in Georgia for his attempts to influence results in the Peach State.

While songs supporting Trump as president have topped the charts in the past two years, Republicans running in November’s midterm elections sold the Trump election conspiracy lost and an anticipated red wave did not it materialized.
Owens’ new video hit #1 on iTunes when it debuted. It’s now at No. 5 and ahead of Taylor Swift’s “All of the Girls You Loved Before” and just behind “Justice for All,” featuring Trump and the J6 Prison Choir.
“I knew people would like it. I knew it would be catchy,” Owens said. “But I didn’t think it would get out of hand like it has. It’s been the funnest week watching this song climb to the top of the charts.”

Owens believes the mainstream success of other country singers, as well as Christian artists, will pave the way for more artists like her.
“I think you’re going to see more red waves hitting the charts these days,” Owens said. “I am a contemporary Christian artist. I am a depression survivor and have been fighting for people’s freedom. I just want people to feel that they can stand up no matter the cause. If you’re on the right footing and trying to send the right message, nothing can stop you.”
