A 2010 clip from when Kamala Harris was California's attorney general is going viral for all the wrong reasons for her.
Harris was speaking at a Google conference in 2010 about how easily he could destroy someone's life for fun with the power of a pen, even if he had no legitimate charges to press against someone.
While it sounds like we're confessing, Harris seems to have boasted when he told the audience, “The power that I have as a prosecutor is that with the stroke of my pen, I can charge someone with a misdemeanor, the lesser crime possible. And by virtue of this stroke of my pen, you will have to go to court and stand in line. You will have to come out of pocket and hire a lawyer at the stroke of my pen 'a felony, which I may choose to dismiss two weeks later,' he said.
“It's an incredible amount of power,” he added.
