Alphabet campaigners hailed a victory over community children after plans for a children's playground that would have stood in the way of their “weird safe space” – an unofficial nudist beach – were knocked back.

An anonymous donor's apparent plans to stop Seattle's exhibitionists stalled after LGBTQ protesters imposed their will on Seattle Parks and Recreation. A community organizer identified as Sophie Amity Debs told KING 5, “We're so excited to hear from the parks not only that the playground is not going to happen, but so quickly, with such a quick turnaround.”
Debs added that the group, which had offered a map of nearby alternative sites to build a playground, hoped to “get this space officially designated as a clothing-optional beach, as well as potentially recognize its history as a safe queer space. “
Attorney Jesse Miranda lamented: “It's imperative to recognize the fact that a donor can influence our society and shut down a safe space at their whim by donating half a million dollars. It's disgusting.”
Reactions on social media hardly matched Miranda, with many saying the self-identified class of victims took priority over families.
