The situation in Oakland is the same as in most other Democrat-run cities: rising crime, a homeless crisis, drugs, poverty and hopelessness. They are third world possessions.

San Francisco and Oakland have also fallen into a state of despair, and it is in large part due to the failed and destructive policies of liberals. The infamous and idiotic “Defund The Police” movement championed by Dems after the George Floyd incident played a major role in the decline of these once beautiful and thriving cities. Notably, former city councilman Loren Taylor was among those celebrating “fairness” and “defunding the police” not too long ago. However, today he is on Twitter, desperately seeking police help.
Freelance journalist Mike Cernovich has very little sympathy for radical ideologues like Loren Taylor, who contribute to these horrible problems and then blame everyone else.

Things are so bad in Oakland that even the NAACP is now calling for a “state of emergency” to be declared in the wake of the crime wave sweeping the disgusting, failing city.
Oakland’s NAACP has called on city leaders to declare a state of emergency due to rising crime, calling the situation a “crisis” and urging residents across the city to demonstrate against.
The group, along with Bishop Bob Jackson of the Acts Full Gospel Church, issued the statement Thursday, attacking both city and county officials as well as social justice movements. “Failed leadership, including the move to defund the police, the unwillingness of our district attorney to charge and prosecute people who kill and commit serious life-threatening crimes, and the proliferation of anti-police rhetoric have created a for Oakland criminals,” the letter. states
The citizens of Oakland say they’ve had enough and want a change.
