As if New York's Finest didn't have enough problems, a video of the NYPD dance team is being ridiculed on social media.
The nation's most visible law enforcement department has been handcuffed by left-wing politicians as it works to fulfill its duties of keeping New Yorkers safe in a crowded metropolis where criminals are running rampant and illegal aliens they beat up the police, but residents can take comfort in knowing that. that the department has its priorities online.
The NYPD dance team has been around since 2022 and so far, it's received little publicity, which might be a good thing judging by the reaction to the clip of the ladies shaking their booties.
The video, taken from a local news profile of the dance team, was posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, by the popular account End Wokeness.

The team ran tests last month and hopes to expand.
“It's open to everybody,” said team president Autumn-Rain Martinez, an officer with the 108th Precinct in Queens. seconds on Fox 5 New York. “So we've gone from me, who's danced my whole life, to people who've never danced before, ever. But as long as you have passion, that's what matters most to us.”
“Work is stressful and this is a way to completely let go,” added team vice president Lauren Pagán, also from District 108. “I like that we're all girls, but I also really like, very much, having men in the team. I just want a bunch of people who like to dance. I want to be like one of the big teams. I want to be like the hockey team and say, “I have 30, 40 people on the team.”
X users offered up their takes and they were absolutely brutal.

New York crime at an all-time high…people murdered, stores looted, drugs flooding the streets, homeless crisis, and the city is being overrun by illegals…
The solution?

While Gotham's treatment of law enforcement has improved under Mayor Eric Adams, a former cop, since the horrors of the Bill de Blasio years, the department still struggles to recruit and retain staff in a city that is fast becoming a dystopian hellscape. On the way to the futuristic version that was famously depicted in the sci-fi movie “Escape From New York,” an enduring classic that local Democrats seem to strive to emulate.
