The NFL's ridiculous Sunday ticket prices have been revealed

When NFL fans discovered the astronomical cost of accessing NFL Sunday Ticket through the Apple Store, they erupted in justified outrage. The price tag? A staggering $679.99 for the basic package, or an even more outrageous $739.99 if you want to bundle them into NFL RedZone. These absurd prices, revealed by NBC Sports' ProFootballTalk, have understandably left fans furious, according to reports Daily calls.

This shocking figure, the highest among all streaming services, has caused many to question the NFL's motives. It's no secret that Apple devices, including Apple TVs, iPads and iPhones, now offer the most expensive access to NFL Sunday Ticket. But should anyone be surprised? It's just another example of big corporations shelling out every last penny from hard-working Americans.

In 2023, rumors surfaced that Apple had proposed a more reasonable plan. The tech giant suggested bundling NFL Sunday Ticket with its Apple TV+ subscription, which would have cost fans just $6.99 a month. A far cry from the current outrageous prices. However, in a move that highlights the NFL's insatiable greed, the league rejected Apple's offer.

But the story doesn't end there. ESPN also tried to intervene, suggesting the NFL lower the price to a more affordable $70 a month. Once again, the league turned a deaf ear. NFL leadership seems more interested in lining their own pockets than making their games accessible to the average fan.

While Apple and ESPN deserve credit for trying to make NFL Sunday Ticket more affordable, the NFL's blatant refusal to consider these options reveals where their priorities really lie. Fans across the country have every right to be angry. The NFL's arrogance in pricing their product so far out of reach for many is not only disappointing, but embarrassing.

It's not just the NFL; numerous profit-making giants in various industries are squeezing hard-working Americans. These corporations prioritize their shareholders over the very employees who keep their businesses running, all while exploiting everyday consumers through hidden fees, inflated prices, and diminished quality of service. They make massive profits while slashing margins, slashing profits and laying off workers. As executive bonuses soar, the burden of their greed falls on the middle class, which struggles to make ends meet under the weight of rising costs and stagnant wages.

These trends have led to debates about the need for a system that fairly compensates the contributions of all workers, rather than concentrating only on maximizing profits.
