The MSNBC regular makes a strange legal argument that Biden could order a preemptive strike at Mar-a-Lago

-

An MSNBC regular suggested that President Joe Biden might mark a “preemptive strike” at Mar-a-Lago as a strange legal argument about presidential immunity.

The entire legal operation to remove Republican front-runner Donald J. Trump from the political equation hinges on the J6 case filed by Biden's Justice Department, which is currently on hold while the immunity issue is resolved and the regime's arrests are in place. state of panic

On a recent edition of “All In With Chris Hayes,” the host discussed Trump's argument that a president should enjoy blanket immunity in the performance of his duties with former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann , a.k.a. “Mueller's pit bull” and network fixture Elie Mystal, justice correspondent for far-left outlet The Nation.

During the segment, the easily excitable left-wing legal expert suggested that if the concept of blanket immunity exists, theoretically nothing could stop Biden from ordering a strike on Trump's home in South Florida, another fantasy violent left-wing attacks on the former president.

“What Trump and his lawyers forget, I think, is that they're not president yet,” exclaimed the wild-haired racial bomb thrower.

“So if the Supreme Court says that presidents have this, you know, total immunity from prosecution and whatever, what's to stop, oh, I don't know, the actual President Joe Biden from launching a preemptive strike against a rebel stronghold at Mar-a-Lago to engineer regime change? What's to stop Biden from doing that, right?” Mystal asked.

He was referring to a hypothetical “trick” question put to Trump's legal team by a Biden-appointed federal judge about whether immunity would apply if the former president sent in the elite military unit that took out Osama bin Laden to do the same to his political rivals. .

“Like I don't think Trump has thought about that. Maybe he's like on the next page of his bedside copy of Mein Kampf and he hasn't gotten to where the logic of his argument goes,” he added, evoking an old hoax story for the obligatory Hitler reference.

“For the record, as Andrew was saying, I don't think Biden has the power to launch a strike against his political rival, does he?” Mystal added. “I think it would violate Posse Comitatus, and you know, the assassination laws … and so I think Biden, if he did that, would be prosecuted.”

“Trump doesn't seem to understand — and the people who support Trump don't seem to understand — that the powers he's invoking should be given to every other president. But I think John Roberts will understand,” he said, seeming to suggest that the Chief Justice is in the regime's pocket and will eventually rule against Trump.
