It seems that a media outlet is desperately trying to erase the vice president's borderline failure from memory now that she has been promoted to presidential candidate.
Axios ran a story about Vice President Kamala Harris' role as “border czar,” oddly claiming she's never held that title.

The post was quickly noticed by the community at X, showing that even Axios had used that title to refer to Harris in previous articles. This prompted an edit to the story, where the outlet claimed they had “incorrectly” used the label in the past.
“Editor's note: This article has been updated and clarified to note that Axios was among the media outlets that incorrectly labeled Harris as the “border czar” in 2021.”, it read.
The claim is that Harris was not sent to do anything to solve the immigration crisis, but instead was given a diplomatic role to find the root causes of the large-scale migration efforts of Latin American countries.
Efforts to clean up Harris' past hit a snag, however, when an NBC report resurfaced in which the vice president's role was characterized as “solving the immigration crisis at the border.”
