During the brief segment, Dixon, whose voice was noticeably husky, was discussing concerns about violent crime in the city, which has long been under Democratic control, when she was pelted with what appeared to be items of clothing. and a man was heard. interjecting her off camera in what appeared to be a domestic fight.

The candidate was speaking at a South Baltimore public safety town hall scheduled for later in the day where she was scheduled to appear with Councilman Eric Costello in the interview that was posted on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Asked about residents' “biggest concerns” about crime in the city, Dixon said, “So there are three things. People don't feel safe, people are afraid. Burglary, burglary, burglary of cars … and people want to see the presence of officers in their community engaged with them, walking the beat, talking to them, getting to know the residents and that's not happening.”
A piece of what appeared to be clothing then passed by, and undeterred, the candidate continued to speak.
“Yesterday I saw police officers who were in an area, but they were in their cars, not doing what they were supposed to do,” he said, as more objects were thrown at him and a male voice could be heard speaking to him before the interviewer cuts the interview short saying that she was going to allow Dixon to save his voice for later.
The strange footage had many on X expressing concern for Dixon's safety.
I just watched Sheila Dixon's interview and it is extremely disturbing. Anchor Fox45 should have gone commercial and checked if it was ok.

I really hope Sheila Dixon is well and @FOXBaltimore he should be ashamed of himself for not cutting that shit. They all saw what we saw.

I wish the newscaster had gone off script and asked Sheila Dixon if she was okay. I hope he got a wellness check after this broadcast. This is disturbing to watch.

Baltimore, we need to have a talk.
Sheila Dixon looks scared and is assaulted (by her husband?) in her home while being interviewed on live TV? If it is domestic, it is an arrestable offence.

I really hope a welfare check is or has been done on Sheila Dixon. She looked terrified in the interview and it's really disturbing. I hope she is safe.

Why did she/the interviewer continue with the segment?

Dixon had 'lost his voice from a cold' seconds in the Baltimore Banner.
