Democratic strategist James Carville said Tuesday that President Joe Biden must quickly negotiate a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas or risk losing the support of traditional voting blocs in key swing states.

“I think this issue is deep, and I think it's much deeper than just progressive advocates or young people or college campuses,” Carville stated. “I hope the president can get some kind of a ceasefire and get this out of the way because, frankly, the political damage to it is pretty substantial. And if we get to Chicago at the convention and this continues to happen, I don't want to think about what it will happen there.”
