The latest swing state poll numbers are absolutely devastating for Biden

A new poll shows former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden in six swing states in the 2024 presidential election, according to the poll released Friday by Morning Consult.

Biden and Trump are the leading contenders for the Democratic and Republican presidential nominations, respectively, whose victory in their respective primaries would make the parties’ leading candidates in the 2024 election the same as in 2020. Although Trump faces criminal charges on dozens of state and federal felony counts in four jurisdictions, currently leads Biden by several percentage points in six swing states that are widely seen as critical to winning the presidency and whose votes give the elections to Trump and Biden. in 2016 and 2020, respectively, according to the poll.

According to the Morning Consult poll, Trump leads Biden by nine percentage points in Georgia and North Carolina, four percentage points in Arizona and Nevada, three percentage points in Pennsylvania and two percentage points in Wisconsin. Combined, the states, whose voting patterns have varied in the past, have a total of 77 votes from the Electoral College.

If Trump were to win the electoral votes in those states, he would be elected president by a margin of 295 electoral votes to Biden’s 243, according to a model by CNN.

The survey includes not only Trump and Biden, but also well-known independent candidates such as environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and academic Cornel West. Kennedy, nephew of late President John F. Kennedy and son of late Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, has 8 to 13 percent support in the seven states, while West has 1 to 2 per hundred support

The appearance of independent candidates willing to stand in a general election has been interpreted by the commentators as a challenge to Biden, with Democrats fearing it would draw moderate votes away from him, as opposed to Trump’s loyal base of Republican supporters, which would give Trump an electoral advantage in the plurality voting system used by all states. The poll was conducted between October 30 and November 7 and surveyed 4,922 registered voters in the United States.

The Trump and Biden campaigns did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
