Minnesota Democratic Party Chairman Ken Martin, who was preparing for a Biden open house in Minneapolis when he heard the news that Biden had dropped out, quickly organized a conference call with other state party chairs. He said, “Everybody I've talked to right now agrees that we need to unify quickly. . . . The faster we can unify our party behind one ticket, the sooner we can move this campaign forward.”
