Ted Lieu and Schiff introduce a bill for a national ban on rodent glue traps

With a national debt at maximum 34 trillion dollarsan increase of $24 trillion in the last 15 years alone, and counting 10 million illegal immigrants invading our open southern border for the past three years, you can count on Democrats to focus on problem solving.

Between U.S. Reps. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) the dynamic duo temporarily put aside their focus on going after criminals to focus on another victim of society: the rodents

Lieu introduced the Glue Trap Ban Act, a bill to ban the possession and use of glue traps to catch rodents, his office said in a statement. Schiff is an original co-sponsor of this bill.

Glue traps are among the cruelest ways to get rid of rodents. They are inhumane and can be dangerous to humans and their pets.

Turns out, according to the Democrat, these traps kill rats.

“Glue traps, adhesive-coated boards used to trap and kill pests, are among the cruelest ways to get rid of rodents. In their attempts to escape the glue, the animals can tear skin and some may even gnaw their own limbs. Animals that do not escape die from blood loss, suffocation, or dehydration. Glue traps also pose a public health risk. CDC urges North Americans not to use glue traps, as trapped rodents can spread disease,” the statement said.

Lieu spoke out against the suffering of trapped rats: “Glue traps are ruthless, inhumane and can be dangerous to the health of humans and their pets. There are many other ways to trap small animals that do not prolong their suffering. As a proud member of the Animal Protection Caucus, I am pleased to introduce this bill to stop the unnecessary suffering of these animals.”

If only he showed the same concern for the suffering of the American people because of the policies he and his party push.
