As China increasingly grows as an adversary against an ally of the US, a tech expert sounded a “five-alarm fire” about how Chinese-owned TikTok is indoctrinating America’s younger generations.
“The information environment is being actively manipulated by our enemy. That’s a problem,” Heritage Foundation technology policy center director Kara Frederick told “The Bottom Line” on Wednesday. “It’s a five-alarm fire and we don’t even know what this is going to look like 10 years from now when the kids who are getting all this information, they’re internalizing it, they believe it’s true.”
“Then they enter our institutions, they are graduating from university and they become the judges, the lawyers of the next generation, a massive problem,” he stressed. “It should be banned.”
