U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) has some “serious concerns” about the border crisis.
President Joe Biden's administration has been too “tough” on immigration enforcement.
Yes, the “Squad” member said he would with a straight face during a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing on illegal immigration Thursday, but judging by the reactions, he likely wished he hadn't.
“There's so much fear, it's hard to know exactly where to start,” Jayapal said.
“The Biden administration is enforcing immigration laws,” he insisted. “In fact, the administration has been so tough in recent months that I have serious concerns about how they're doing border enforcement.”

“This is especially true when it comes to the administration's regulations that limit access to asylum and the use of expedited procedures for families,” he continued, as he explained. Fox News Digital. “There are nearly 38,000 people in Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention today, which, by the way, is the average for the Trump Administration in fiscal year 2018. But if you listen to my colleagues on the other side, think there are zero people in detention”.
“The Biden administration has also significantly increased deportations in ways that I am concerned will violate the due process rights of migrants and their ability to legally seek asylum,” he said. “Since the end of Title 42 last year, the Biden administration has removed or returned to Mexico more than 400,000 people, including more than 65,000 individual members of family units, including children. This total is nearly equivalent to number of people removed throughout fiscal year 2019 under Donald Trump, so the idea that the administration will not enforce the law is ludicrous.”
How BizPac Review has been reporting, the overwhelming number of migrants entering the US, as of August, has eclipsed the number of babies born to our nation's citizens, and progressive mayors and governors have failed miserably on their promises to “sanctuary” cities.
With pressure mounting from within his own party and a presidential election fast approaching, the administration has turned to Mexico for help securing the border, but Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has made demands worth more than $20 billion for the nation's aid. .
Meanwhile, Biden's Border Patrol has done such an embarrassing job in Eagle Pass, Texas, that Gov. Greg Abbott called out the state's National Guard and drove federal agents out of the area.

On Thursday, U.S. Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) warned that a “Hamas-like situation” was likely, given that “they don't know where 75%, they admit it! — they don't know where 75% of the people they let into this country, which is about eight million, so 6 million recognize that we don't know where they are.
None of this was lost on X users, who blasted Jayapal for being a cold-blooded liar:

To an X-user, Jayapal's remarks were reminiscent of an eerily prescient George Orwell novel.
