Hunter Biden may not be the only one allegedly guilty, as a prominent legal scholar has linked a congressman to being complicit in facilitating a “federal felony loan.”
On Wednesday, President Joe Biden's son defied a congressional subpoena with a major PR stunt that sought to dictate his own terms for testimony before legislative committees seeking answers about his foreign dealings and alleged trafficking of the influences of the then Vice President Joe Biden.
California Representative Eric Swalwell was not only present at the show, but was later found to be instrumental in making it happen, a point George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley asserted which meant: “Swalwell not only facilitated a crime, he went out on the streets. of his way to be associated with it.”
“It was a curious role for a former House impeachment director to help obstruct an impeachment inquiry,” the professor commented to X. “Swalwell previously argued that anyone who refused to appear he should be prosecuted and that members of the GOP should be prosecuted. [be] expelled for supporting the violation of federal law.”

The comment came as part of a broad op-ed composed for The Hill where Turley discussed the California lawmaker's involvement in arranging the young Biden's press conference outside the U.S. Capitol when he was supposed to be meeting for testimony in behind closed doors with Kentucky House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R).
“We later learned that Swalwell was not just a bystander, but a participant. It was Swalwell who helped orchestrate the defiance of his own home and facilitated an alleged federal crime,” the article said. opinion
“Swalwell surely knew he was helping Hunter defy a subpoena and obstruct the investigation into Joe Biden. Not only did he help set up the press conference, he made sure he was on camera behind Hunter for all to see of the network,” Turley wrote. “He presumably used congressional staff to assist in this effort.”
“By taking these actions, Swalwell encouraged and facilitated the contempt of Congress. While his conduct may not warrant a criminal indictment, it certainly warrants action by the House,” he added.
During the conference, Biden had stated: “I am here today to answer in a public hearing any legitimate questions that Speaker Comer and the House Oversight Committee may have for me. I am here today to make sure that the investigations il · legitimate members of my family of the House committee do not develop with distortions, manipulated evidence and lies”.
He also coaxed the narrative into transition from claims that he and his father had never discussed their business until now. affirming“as clear as I can: my father was not financially involved in my business, neither as a practicing lawyer, nor as a member of the board of Burisma, nor in my association with a private Chinese businessman, nor in my investment at home or abroad, and certainly not as an artist.”
On Swalwell, Turley noted that the congressman's own record spoke out against actions like the orchestrated event: “In fact, in 2021 Swalwell sponsored a resolution that explored whether dozens of Republican colleagues could be expelled in by virtue of the 14th amendment to aid and abet an insurrection by “infusing.” claims of systemic election and voter fraud.
He also cited Swalwell's 2018 remarks when he called for contempt of then-President Donald Trump's former White House adviser Steve Bannon: “If they don't force him to answer legitimate questions, they're going to give away the authority of Congress, And we're going to be setting a very, very dangerous precedent that people can just tell Congress what they're going to respond to and what they're not going to respond to, and they're not going to show the determination to use our subpoena power to get to the bottom of what's going on.”
As syndicated radio host Mark Levin put it amid growing calls for the congressman to be held in contempt, “It appears that Communist China scumball Swalwell conspired with Hunter to commit a crime that obstructed the Congress. Kick him out.”
Swalwell, Communist China's favorite shitball, appears to have conspired with Hunter to commit a felony obstruction of Congress. expel him https://t.co/u5F96WMOpY
