Suspected armed home intruder shot dead by Kentucky homeowner [VIDEO]

Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 received an alert just after midnight about a shooting at a residence in Trigg County.

The Trigg County Sheriff's Office had asked KSP to handle this research.

Preliminary findings revealed that a male intruder armed with a gun had forced his way into a residence on Linda Lane.

Upon entering a room, the owner defended himself by shooting the intruder, killing him at the scene.

The authorities have verified that this was an isolated event without threat to the public.

In the interest of the ongoing investigation, no further information is available at this time.
