Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) just slapped Judge Arthur Engoron with a court complaint for his “inappropriate bias and judicial misconduct” in the case against former President Trump.
Stefanik on Friday accused the judge of “bias” and “strange behavior” in the courtroom in a letter to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Something Trump and others have also accused him of.
“I have just filed an official court complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron for his improper bias and judicial misconduct in New York’s disgraceful lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization,” Stefanik wrote to X.
“Americans are sick and tired of the blatant corruption of radical leftist judges in New York. All New Yorkers must speak out against the dangerous gun law against President Trump,” he added, then listed the lengthy complaint in its entirety.

“Today I write to express my serious concern about the improper partiality and judicial intemperance shown by Judge Arthur F. Engoron in the New York lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization,” Stefanik charged in his letter.
“The strange behavior of this judge has no place in our judicial system, where Judge Engoron does not respect the rights of the accused to a fair trial and a fair trial,” the letter added.
“These serious concerns are compounded by the fact that the defendant is a leading candidate for the presidency of the United States, and it appears that the judicial system is being politicized to affect the outcome of the campaign,” Stefanik said.
Trump and his three grown children have been paraded and dragged through the mud for a non-jury trial that follows a judge already ruling the former president guilty of fraudulently overstating the value of his real estate holdings. The procedures are to decide to what extent he will be punished.
Stefanik slammed the left-leaning judge for valuing Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida “between $18 million and $27.6 million.” A number that many, including real estate experts, consider ridiculously low.
“This is yet another example of why Judge Engoron showed poor judgment by staying this case, instead of sending it to the expert judges of the Commercial Division where it belongs,” he decried. “Judge Engoron’s bizarre and biased behavior is making a mockery of the New York court system.”
“Trump allies have accused Engoron of acting biased since the start of the trial when cameras caught him smiling as he was allowed into the courtroom in those early moments.” Fox News reported
Stefanik’s letter cited a series of incidents in court, as well as a limited gag order that Engoron imposed on Trump and his lawyers.

“Judge Engoron has continued gag and fine President Trump for simply criticizing Judge Engoron’s law clerk, which is basic political speech protected by the First Amendment,” Stefanik stated in his letter. “If anyone in the United States should have the constitutional right to speak against the judge, his staff, the witnesses or the process, is a defendant going through a process that he believes is politicized and rigged against him.”
“All Americans, including political opponents, must receive due process and equal protection under our US and New York Constitutions,” Stefanik wrote.
“Judge Engoron’s contempt for President Trump and his policies is evident, and the Commission must take corrective action to restore due process and protect our constitutional rights. Judge Engoron must dismiss this case,” he insisted.
Right to confront his accusers? First Amendment? Judge Engoron is so corrupt and unethical that he practically guarantees a reversal of any decision that comes out of this kangaroo court. pic.twitter.com/FwUAT4AhlS

When asked for comment about Stefanik’s letter and Engoron’s behavior, Commission Administrator Robert H. Tembeckjian commented, “All matters before the Commission on Judicial Conduct are confidential. according to the lawunless and until a judge is determined to have committed ethical misconduct and a decision is issued to that effect.
“The New York attorney general’s office has sought $250 million in financial penalties and a ban on Trump and executives from doing business in the state. The state rested its case Wednesday and is expected to “Trump’s legal team begins its case in chief on Monday.” the hill reported
