'Squad' Dem heading for landslide primary defeat, poll suggests

Democratic Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri is facing a massive electoral deficit behind her primary challenger, St. Louis, Wesley Bell, according to a poll obtained Sunday by the New York Post.

Bush, who like other members of the “squad” has been vocally anti-Israel, now faces a 23-point deficit against Bell as their primary approaches on August 6. seconds in the survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for the CCA Action Fund. In June, Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York also faced a massive poll. disadvantage after being openly anti-Israel, and finally lose his primary against now-Democratic candidate George Latimer on June 25.

Like Bowman and other members of the squad, Bush has previously been criticized by pro-Israel Democrats for his comments and legislative actions following the Oct. 7 massacre. Bush has done this continuously he called for a ceasefire at the same time election against legislation that would condemn Hamas and anti-Semitism, prompting several pro-Israel groups to endorse his opponent.

Shortly after October 7, the Chamber voted to condemn Hamas for launching an “unprovoked war against Israel” after “killing Israelis and taking hostages in southern Israeli cities, including children and the elderly.” Bush, along with Democratic “team” members Bowman, Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Rep. Ilan Omar of Minnesota, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, voted against the bill.

Many pro-Israel groups, including the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA)the Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI) PACand the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)they have now publicly endorsed Bell over Bush.

“Mr. Bell's record stands in stark contrast to that of her opponent, Congresswoman Cori Bush, whose opposition to the Democratic agenda and long-standing enmity toward Israel was underscored by her scathing statements and votes since of the October 7 terrorist attacks,” Mark Mellman, President of DMFI PAC. said in a press release. “We will do everything we can to help Wesley Bell defeat Congresswoman Cori Bush.”

The poll polled 300 likely Democratic voters from June 28 to July 1 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 5.7 percent.

Rep. Cori Bush's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
