Speaker of the House, McCarthy, reveals the plan to start an impeachment process against Joe Biden

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) confirmed Friday that impeachment proceedings against President Joseph Biden are underway. But the first step in the process is an impeachment inquiry, as McCarthy explained.

“So you’re claiming that I said we’re going to impeach the president,” McCarthy said at a news conference. “I brought up the idea of impeachment. OK, so you’re wrong. So if you record, go back and look. I said impeachment inquiry. There’s a big difference, and let me explain because maybe not everyone understands.”

“What the impeachment inquiry does when you vote on the floor, it gives you the maximum power of Congress,” he continued. “Well? And you just go through what we have two IRS whistleblowers claiming that the Biden family was treated differently. That David Weiss let the statute of limitations run out. The basic rule, in any case, when the statute of limitations approaches, within six months, you get an extension based on the individuals. They said the Bidens were willing to do it, they should do it. Now we have a person that we now found , went to the FBI several years ago, alleging that they bribed the president and said, you couldn’t find the money because all the shell companies. It’s 1023.”

“We found that when then-Attorney General Barr found that he sent it to the Pennsylvania judiciary and they said there’s more,” he continued. “When does a lawyer investigate the FBI? Then we found that President Biden, while running for office, made a couple of claims. He first looked the audience in the eye and said, ‘I’ve never talked to my son about no business.” He said, “My family hasn’t taken a dime from China.” As part of this research, we found that when [Biden] became vice president, his family created 20 shell companies, just like what 1023 said would happen. We found that 16 of Romania’s 17 payments went to the president while he was vice president. Now we’ve found out that the money came from China … now we’ve found out that the president has changed what he said.”

“But we have a real question about David Weiss and the attorney general and the other six people at the meeting,” he added. “It’s contradictory to what the IRS agents said and they asked questions and they took notes from the meetings and they emailed everybody about those notes. Now, if you’re any member of Congress, that doesn’t mean impeachment. That’s nothing. But we have to investigate and see what happens.”

As previously reported, the House of Representatives is entering its “significant final stage” of bringing impeachment charges against incumbent President Joseph Biden.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has indicated that Congress may eventually decide to impeach the president, but the timing has been uncertain.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital on Tuesday, McCarthy hinted at a major “red line” the Biden administration could cross to trigger impeachment proceedings.

“What I’ve said is that if they withhold information, the impeachment inquiry gives Congress the ultimate power to get all the information they need. All this information that people are finding out now is only because the Republicans investigated.” McCarthy told Fox.

“The American people have a right to know what happened. They have a president who lied to the American public and said they didn’t get money from China. We know that’s true. We’ve had whistleblowers from the IRS who they say the biden family is treated differently and other things were going on and then you have a[n] reporting with the FBI saying there was a bribe. We need to know the answer to that,” he continued.

McCarthy added that if “at some point” he felt they were not able to get the information they were looking for, then “it would have to go to the level of an impeachment inquiry.”

During the interview, McCarthy said that 16 of the 17 payments the Bidens allegedly received from a Romanian citizen were to “Biden shell companies” while Joe Biden was vice president. According to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), the elder Biden had been “giving a conference in Romania on anti-corruption policies” while being “a walking billboard for his … family to raise money “.

“When President Biden was running for office, he told the American public that it had never been talked about [Hunter’s] business He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we now prove is not true,” McCarthy said during the interview.

On Monday night, McCarthy appeared on “Hannity” and summarized the state of the House’s investigations into the Biden family’s corruption.

“They bribed the Bidens,” he said. “Okay, this was given to the FBI when Bill Barr finally found out about it, he sent it to his office in Philadelphia. They actually said this was very credible. The FBI covered this up to the IRS individuals so they could never see it. So not only do they claim they were bribed, now we find information that 16 of the 17 payments from Romania were provided to Biden’s shell companies while he was vice president.”

“When President Biden was running for office, he told the American public that he had never talked about business,” he noted. “He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we now prove is not true. Now we have some of the most credible whistleblowers. These 10-year-old IRS agents who have come forward said that the Biden family has been treated differently.”

“That what Weiss has told us is different than what Garland and Weiss have told the public,” he continued. “And you’re sitting here today where you’ve now found millions in foreign money just from the 1023 allegations they made to the Biden family. Now we’ve found that it’s been funneled through shell companies.”

“If you’re sitting in our position today, we wouldn’t know any of this if the Republicans hadn’t taken the majority,” he added. “We just followed where the information led us. But this is rising to the level of an impeachment inquiry, which gives Congress the strongest power to obtain the rest of the knowledge and information needed. Because this president has also used something we haven’t seen since Richard Nixon used the weaponization of government to benefit his family and deny Congress the ability to have oversight.”

According to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, the GOP investigation into the Biden family’s finances is now entering its “significant final stage.” They are looking into more than $17 million in foreign funds received by the Biden family and investigating alleged preferential treatment given by the Justice Department to Hunter Biden in an ongoing criminal investigation related to gun and tax crimes.

Recent revelations from the New York Post have further intensified the situation. The report indicates that the president was involved in at least 24 calls with Hunter’s business partners, including people from the Ukrainian oil company Burisma, despite earlier assurances from the White House denying such involvement. Devon Archer, one of Hunter’s business partners, is expected to testify before the House Oversight Committee led by Chairman James Comer about those interactions.

President Jordan expressed concern about the source of the money received by the Bidens. With several shell companies and several members of the Biden family receiving payments, he questioned the nature of the services or the value they provided, suggesting that access to then-Vice President Biden might be the only plausible explanation.

Regarding the potential for articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, Jordan noted that it is a matter for the full conference to decide.

“But the speaker has been very clear, Speaker McCarthy has said that if we have to go to an impeachment inquiry, in fact, we will,” Jordan said, noting that “the evidence continues to pile up “.

“We seem to be moving in that direction at a rapid pace, but that’s a question for the entire conference,” he said.
