Former President Donald J. Trump's attorney, Alina Habba, speaks after the conclusion of the travesty in a New York City courtroom that ended with a jury awarding columnist E. Jean Carroll a staggering $83 million in damages in his defamation suit.
In a kangaroo court trial that underscores the perversion of the American justice system that has been weaponized by Democrats and their stooges, the GOP front-runner was not allowed to defend himself with the Clinton-appointed judge not allowing evidence that provide a glimpse of the columnist's vision. character and at one point, threatened to throw Habba in jail for defending his client.
On Friday, as the gavel fell for the final time on the obscene cash award to Carroll that was perfectly timed for the evening news cycle, the fiery lawyer spoke to the press outside the Manhattan courthouse.

“No, I have no qualms about representing President Trump,” he said. “It's the proudest thing I've ever been able to do.”
“I've been on trial after trial for months in this state,” Habba added, blasting the one-sided judicial system.
“The state of New York. Attorney General Letitia James, and now this … Why? Because President Trump is leading in the polls and now we see what's getting in New York,” he said, noting how How bad is the fight against his client in the state controlled by Democrats.
“So don't get it wrong, whoever asked me that question, I'm very proud to stand with President Trump. But I'm not proud to stand by what I saw in the courtroom,” Habba said .
“And that's why I'm with Trump,” he added. “That's why so many Americans are so proud that he's running again and so excited to be running at the polls. But don't get it twisted. We're seeing a violation of the justice system. Ladies and gentlemen, they're not allowed strip away all the defenses they have.”
The former president, who left court before closing arguments had finished, vowed to appeal.

“Absolutely ridiculous! I totally disagree with both verdicts and will appeal this entire Biden-led witch hunt centered on me and the Republican Party. Our legal system is out of control and being used as a political weapon. They have taken away all First Amendment rights. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!” Trump wrote in Social Truth.
“There is no justice in the United States anymore. Our judicial system is broken and unfair!” Trump added, speaking from experience.

“We asked for a trial, on the E. Jean Carroll false accusation case, but the judge didn't give it to us, he made us have two trials on the same deception, and then, in the second trial, they were to allow. to use whatever information they wanted from the start, but they didn't allow us to use anything! As an example, the statements they are using in the second trial were taken in the first,” the former president wrote on Truth Social on Friday morning.
“We wouldn't be allowed to use the totally exonerated Anderson Cooper/CNN interview in either trial, but nothing like that in the second. Our legal system is in shambles! “Today's verdict shows that the law applies to everyone in our country, even the rich, even the famous, even former presidents,” said Carroll's attorney, Roberta Kaplan. in a statement.
“There is a way to stand up to someone like Donald Trump, who cares more about wealth, fame and power than upholding the law,” he added. “Standing up to a bully takes courage and bravery; it takes someone like E. Jean Carroll. We thank the jury for defending E. Jean and the rule of law.”
