The action took place on Wednesday and the police department says it is not punitive. They also refuse to release the names of the officers involved.
NBC’s Nashville affiliate reported on the development as the police try to determine how commentator Steven Crowder he got three handwritten pages of the manifesto. It is clear that the authorities did not want the alleged content of the documents to be made public. Crowder claims that none of the seven agents were involved in the leak.
“Seven people are on administrative assignment to protect the integrity of the ongoing and active investigation,” department spokesman Don Aaron told reporters.
According to Crowder, an unidentified person contacted a member of their website’s investigative unit. They claimed to have several pages of the shooter’s writings in their possession.

The powers that be are more concerned with finding the leaker than the content of Audrey Hale’s anti-white manifesto.

“A member of his team flew to Nashville to meet with the source, who showed him images of the documents embedded in a text exchange with a person Crowder described as a ‘Nashville detective,'” New York Post reported
“Crowder said his team He was then able to research and authenticate them, paving the way for their release,” the outlet added.
Covenant School and several relatives of the victims have opposed the release of the letters, but some media sources and law enforcement groups have argued they should be released to the public.
“Now you have allowed it [the shooter]who terrorized our family with bullets, so he can now terrorize us with words from the grave,” said Covenant parent Brent Leatherwood.
“I am deeply concerned for the safety, security and well-being of the Covenant families and all grieving Nashvillians,” Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell said in a statement after Crowder published the writings.
He promised to launch an investigation into the matter with the help of Nashville Police Chief John Drake.
Crowder has not backed down from the release of the writings and stands firm on the premise that the public has a right to know what the shooter’s motive and ideology was for killing students and teachers that day. He noted that the manifestos of other mass shooters were published in a timely fashion while this one was buried.
“This was one that didn’t move on with this narrative”, he commented. “And a lot of people felt that it was necessary for this to come out. And there are people involved with the Nashville PD who also feel that things haven’t necessarily been transparent.”
“Nashville police initially said they would release at least 20 diaries and a ‘memo’ belonging to Hale after they concluded their investigation,” the New York Post wrote.
“But they have since cited lawsuits related to the materials to delay any release,” the news outlet further said.

Hale was transgender and was clearly deeply disturbed. His writings indicate an intense hatred of whites and the “privileged”.
One page, dated February 3, 2023, criticizes affluent kids “with their white privilege [sic].”
“These crackers, going to fancy private schools with these fancy kwakis [sic] and sports backpacks,” Hale reportedly wrote according to the New York Post. “With his parents mustangs and convertibles. F— you little s—-. I want to shoot you weak d—- with your mop yellow hair.
On a page titled “DAY OF THE DEATH” that she decorated with a picture of a gun and doodles, Hale reportedly wrote that she was “a little nervous, but also excited.”

“I can’t believe I’m doing this, but I’m ready,” he said. “God let my anger take over my anxiety. . . . I hope to have a great death toll.”
Hale murdered three 9-year-old children in his rampage that day at the Christian school: Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney. It also cut three school employees: school principal Katherine Koonce, 60, custodian Mike Hill, 61, and substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, 61.
