An email sent by a Secret Service sniper is making waves with its brutal honesty and calls for change.
RealClearPolitics White House and National Political Correspondent Susan Crabtree released a photo of the email, with identifying information redacted, asking the agency for a change. The author promises that he will not stop until “5 high-level supervisors (1 below) are fired or removed from their current positions.”
EXCLUSIVE: A Secret Service sniper sent an email Monday night to the entire Uniformed Division (not agents) saying he won't stop talking until “5 high-level supervisors (1 below) are fired or removed of their current positions”. The Counter Sniper… pic.twitter.com/0dg99EESQk

“Thank you for your support and encouragement,” the email begins. “I will not stop until 5 high level supervisors (1 below) are fired or removed from their current positions. This agency NEEDS change, if not now, WHEN? The NEXT assassination attempt in 30 days? Because all we should expect another attempt before Nov. We have exposed our inability to protect our leaders because of our leadership. The technicians who worked on 07/13/24 did their job with the hands tied THE Secret Service SUPERVISORS “knew better” and the foot soldiers made the most of a bad situation that resulted in the death of a civilian and a near miss of the protégé and our technician shooting and killing the suspicious”.
He goes on to call out the Secret Service for “falling short for years” and just being “lucky” that nothing bad had happened yet.
“I know many see the CS team as 'guys who sit on the roof' and don't do much. But our responsibility, our MISSION, is not about protecting an EMPTY White House located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” the sniper continued. “It's about preventing and stopping another JFK-style assassination, in any city. Unfortunately, we have fallen short for YEARS. We got lucky and looked good doing it. I have conveyed these thoughts not only to the supervisors (to include the current Captain) within CS, but also to those responsible for training (SOTS/CS). Only to be dismissed as if those with less experience somehow knew more than I did.”
“The team I was proud to be a part of is something I now have to somehow hide as I move forward in my next career,” he added. “Who wants to hire a guy from the USSS CS who failed? That's the public perception I'm facing now. The USSS CS team is a stain I'll never be able to clean.”
He closes his email by once again calling out the failure of leadership that led to the near-assassination of a former president.
“Some of us take our job and responsibility seriously, DEADLY seriously. Maybe I'm overzealous. But after 7 years in the Marine Corps as a Petty Officer and over 20 years on the USSS Counter Sniper Team, failure does not is a choice, and on 7/13, WE failed. Not because of commitment or a sense of dedication. But because our SUPERVISORS (aka leadership) knew better and thought our concerns were less than important the USSS…CYA. And all the supervisors are doing it right now.”
X users responded to the sniper's message:
Trump is not safe, he should get private security details put together by the likes of Erik Prince and Dan Bongino
Tech billionaires who support Trump could help with funding.
Get former SEALs, SS and other spec ops guys you can trust. SS is politicized and compromised.

The Performance @Secret Service The director only stated that he “read” the rangefinder to be a recreational rangefinder. WTH. Must have first hand knowledge. Fire him later!

This gets worse as more information comes out

There is no justification why any senior USSS officer should keep his job.
Go to them all.

These are the new American heroes. Not clueless heads of Agencies or Offices who sacrifice the future of our great Republic for the power and the cups in the ass of elites and killers of higher rank of freedom.

This is amazing information, thanks for sharing.
My guess is that the House Committee will take this up when they come back on September 9th.

“The motto of the USSS…CYA. And every supervisor is doing it right now.”
this is such a true statement and why you have to take what the people involved that day say with a grain of salt and even what the whistleblowers say; some may be trying to CYA too.

It's an amazing letter. It took courage to write it. How many of us would call out our superiors in such a specific way?
