During a border press conference in Cochise County, Arizona, Senator JD Vance strongly objected to CNN correspondent Steve Contorno's inquiry about former President Trump's recent remarks about Kamala Harris.
Trump's comment at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention about Harris “becoming a black person” prompted Contorno's question to Vance, who was visiting the US southern border at the time.
Trump just told the world that KAMALA HARRIS IS NOT BLACK

In response to the query, Vance, a biracial father of three, deftly dismissed any concerns raised by the comments, stating: “They don't give me pause at all.”

She went on to clarify that Trump was simply pointing out Harris' chameleon-like behavior, adapting her persona as she saw fit for different audiences.
Vance emphasized Harris' inconsistency, highlighting his radical shifts in positions on issues such as crime and law enforcement.
Trump's comments about Harris' racial identity came after ABC News' Rachel Scott asked if Harris was hired by DEI. Trump's response, expressing surprise that Harris would identify as black and referencing his Indian heritage, signaled his skepticism.
Additionally, the former president's comments pointed to Harris' recent use of a southern accent during a public appearance in Atlanta, drawing further attention to his apparent political stance.
