Sayonara: New Twitter layoffs hit ‘Trust & Safety’…

good release

Business Insider:

Elon Musk recently laid off more Twitter employees working on the platform’s trust and security efforts, roles that are typically crucial to keeping a social media platform safe for advertisers.

The cuts came in the first week of September, according to two people familiar with the company, one of the first targeted layoffs since it scaled back operations earlier this year. Although this layoff only affected a handful of people, five to 10, it was completely focused on workers with confidence and safety. These workers are responsible for monitoring daily communications on Twitter and mitigating the appearance and spread of toxic content, primarily so that businesses feel comfortable advertising on the platform.

First amendment be damned.
