Russian bombing of Kupiansk kills two and injures 12

-

According to Ukrainian authorities, a civilian area of Kupiansk, located in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine, was the target of a Russian guided bomb attack, which resulted in at least two deaths and 12 injuries. The regional governor, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the attack occurred today. The strike also set fire to a warehouse, injuring six employees, according to the regional prosecutor's office.

In the village of Zolochiv, Russian forces dropped two bombs and injured six others, including a 12-year-old boy, according to regional police. The attack caused significant damage to administrative buildings, a kindergarten and more than 20 homes.

Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, and the surrounding regions have been under Russian attack for a prolonged period. Moscow's troops have been relentlessly shelling Ukraine's border regions with highly destructive guided bombs for months.

Despite the high number of civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, Moscow continues to deny that it has targeted non-military entities during the ongoing conflict. Thousands of people have been killed or injured in these strikes, contradicting Moscow's claims.
