Ted Cruz's 2016 presidential campaign, resigned from his position as an adviser to the Never Back Down PAC with less than a month to go. in the Iowa caucus. “I cannot in good conscience be affiliated with Never Back Down given today's statements in the Washington Post. They are untrue and an unwanted distraction at a critical time for Governor DeSantis,” he continued to maintain his full support for the campaign “I will be resigning my position effective immediately. Governor DeSantis has been an outstanding governor and I look forward to serving as the 47th president of the United States. I wish the governor, the first lady and their entire team the best for the rest of the campaign.”
